OFF SWITCH MAGAZINE: KICKSTARTER LAUNCH!

It’s been a long time coming and has me in a bottle of nervous knots, yet today I am very proud to announce the launch of the Off Switch Magazine Kickstarter campaign!
Please read on to find out a bit more about the video and other images created to advertise this project PLUS how you can help us spread the word. And of course, take a look at our page on Kickstarter to see how you can assist us in reaching our goal of printing our spring volume! Remember we only have 30 days to raise the money!

Our video was made by Yum Yum Studios at the Barker’s space in Chicago with music courtesy of the band kindlewood, who just so happen to have an interview in the upcoming spring volume! I created the animated gif (shown above) out of over 100 photos in late December as another fun way to illustrate our Kickstarter goal. If you like the gif and images relating to our campaign, please feel free to download them in the press file below. The photographer for each photo is listed within the title, so please give them due credit. Each image is sized to 900px wide, which should accommodate the largest of blog widths and can be easily sized down to fit your particular blog.
If you’ve been following Off Switch for a while now but never felt comfortable saying ‘hi’ — this is your chance. One thing I’ve learned is that word of mouth recommendations are far more likely to garner action than any forced publicity. And as much as we want publicity, the last thing we want is for it to be forced. I don’t care if your blog is big or small or if you don’t even have one. You all have a voice, and if you believe in what Off Switch is about, then I invite you to use your voice to help us reach our goal. It would mean the world to us, truly.

Remember that I’ll be posting about Kickstarter all month long — sharing tidbits about our spring volume and all around fun content. If any of you have ideas or suggestions on how better to improve the Kickstarter page description, please tell me. I’d love to know if some aspect of the campaign and goal need more clarification. Shoot me an email at offswitchmagazine@gmail.com to talk about Kickstarter (subject: “kickstarter chat”)!

Woohooo! I just know this project will be funded… Can’t wait to see the final product!
